Supported environments

The runtimes, operating systems, and infrastructure platforms that Putki is tested and supported on. Supported environments are production environments — development and non-production environments are not officially supported.

01 — Java runtimes

Java runtimes

The Java runtimes below are guidelines for what is expected to work in production. Only the runtimes listed as supported are eligible for SLA-backed assistance.

02 — Operating systems

Operating systems

Production server environments and developer/client workstations have separate support tiers.

Enterprise Linux

Supported
RHEL 9.x & 10.x
AlmaLinux / Rocky Linux 9+
Amazon Linux 2023 (AL2023)
Ubuntu 22.04 & 24.04 LTS

Windows Server

Supported
Windows Server 2022 / 2025

Developer / Client

Supported
Windows 11 (non-ARM)
macOS 14+ (Sonoma / Sequoia)
Linux desktops
Best-effort
Linux desktop support note. Our internal engineering team actively develops on Linux. However, due to the fragmentation of kernels, package managers, and desktop environments, we cannot guarantee identical UI/UX performance across all distributions. Bug reports are accepted, but custom hotfixes for distribution-specific visual anomalies are handled on a best-effort basis. We recommend mainstream LTS distributions such as Ubuntu LTS for local developer environments.
03 — Cloud platforms

Cloud platforms

Putki is cloud-agnostic and fully supported on major hyperscale infrastructures. Cloud support is organized into two tiers.

Tier 1 Fully supported
Verified hyperscalers

Fully tested and verified. All support tiers apply.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Microsoft Azure
Tier 2 Best-effort
Sovereign & regional clouds

Putki is architected to run on any standard cloud infrastructure. Custom configuration, deployment routing, and infrastructure-specific troubleshooting on Tier 2 providers are handled on a best-effort basis.

OVHcloud
STACKIT
Other European sovereign clouds
04 — Containers & orchestration

Containers & orchestration

Official container images are provided and fully supported. Orchestration-level deployment is supported on a best-effort basis.

Official container image (Docker / Containerd)
OCI-compliant images provided and fully supported with every Putki release
Supported
Kubernetes & Red Hat OpenShift
Deployment within Kubernetes, Helm, or OpenShift is supported. Official Helm charts and operator manifests are not yet available — orchestration-level configuration and troubleshooting are best-effort. Full support is limited to the containerized application layer.
